Graduating in 1991 from
the University of Sydney, Ian has worked in a variety of clinical settings from the recreational to elite international sporting environments including:
- Touch football at the National Touch League
- Athletics
- Rugby having worked with elite rugby players for many years
- International Judo Tournaments
- Ultra-Marathons
- Football (soccer)
- NRL (rugby league)
- Waterpolo (international athletes)
- Australian Men’s Volleyball Team touring internationally to Olympic qualification tournaments
- Sydney Olympic Games for Women’s and Men’s Beach Volleyball, Judo and Track Cycling
Ian completed Post Graduate studies in Hand and Upper Limb conditions giving him a strong understanding and experience in the treatment of shoulder pain, rotator cuff and frozen shoulder. In addition, Ian is accomplished in the treatment of hand, wrist and finger injury including splinting and casting.
He has published in the prestigious Spine Journal on Back exercise and is a strong advocate of exercise in the treatment of injury and pain.
Ian was awarded the APA Sports Physiotherapy Title in 2012 gaining recognition in the profession as a Sports Physiotherapist.
He has developed a keen interest in tendon injury (aka tendinitis) and has worked with Sports Physicians, Orthopaedic Surgeons and Rheumatologists devising programs for ACL reconstructions, Ankle rehabilitation and in more recent times for Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis.
